REE-CALL project has been started from April, 2012 after completing pilot phase with the financial assistance of Oxfam at the most remote haor villages of Nikli and Mithamoin Upazilla, Kishorganj. Total coverage of the project is as 21 villages with 4556 HH. This project is mainly based on disaster and climate changes issues and contributing by implementing different types of activities. Homestead and public place raising, market development , sapling distribution, distribution of seeds, local level contingency stock, food bank support sanitary latrine distribution, establishing sallow and deep tube-well etc supports are provided to community people to build a resilience community.


Project Goal

Women & Men most at Risk of Disaster & Climate Change in Bangladesh are able to thrive in spite of shocks & Change


Specific Objectives:

1. Community-based organizations (CBOs) and local government institutions are able to anticipate possible impacts of climate change, disaster and taking appropriate measures accordingly.
2. Sustainable income and employment options for women and men are created through access to services, natural resources and market link.
3. Effective and pro poor implementation of policy and legal framework (national to local) related to agriculture, disaster risk reduction (DRR), climate change adaptation (CCA) and natural resource management (NRM).
4. Strengthened collective and individual actions toward fulfillment of rights and entitlements of vulnerable households and promoted transformational leadership of women and marginalized.
